I met Erin when I was about 15 years old. We both worked at the McDonalds in Bradford. I remember being a little sad when she went off to University – or maybe I was a bit jealous as I was still in High School. Years went by, and in 2007 when everyone and their brother joined Facebook we reconnected as friends. Facebook friends, but friends none-the-less.
Over the years I remember Erin posting photos from tripd with Dale or from Halloween parties, and always thought “how freaking cute are they”. And last year when she posted a pic of her Engagement ring, and made it Facebook official that they were engaged I secretly hoped she would call me for photos.
And she did.
And then I screamed a bit.
Last Saturday, Nick and I met them in their totally awesome house in Toronto to start their engagement session. Since I shot literally 15 different shoots last week, I should have been a walking zombie, but I had SOOOO much fun with their session. They trusted us, and let me take them to this sketchy area area we had found on our way to their house. Erin calls it Sketchville. I call it perfect light. Then we were off to the Brickworks, and then the Distillery District. After that we went to the spot of their first date. I believe (remember not a city person) it was University/Queen. Correct me if I’m wrong. On their first date they ate ice cream and sat on the steps of the statue in the median. So we did it again. We ended the session back at their house.
Erin – I’m so flippen excited for your wedding day. Dale is perfect for you, and we had such a blast hanging for the afternoon.
Enjoy your sneak peek!
